The use of linen and cotton in combination with alpaca wool guarantees optimal thermoregulation between the horse's back and the saddle. Alpaca fleece saddle pads are a animal-friendly alternative to the well-known lambskin saddle pads and convince with numerous advantages:
- anti-allergic (no lanolin in contrast to sheep wool)
- inflamed sebaceous glands demonstrably regress
- shock-absorbing, pressure-distributing and anti-static
- animal-friendly: alpacas are shorn twice a year
- fine weight aids possible because the rider sits close to the movement
In the saddle area, soft alpaca fleece ensures additional pressure distribution through its fine, curly fibers which act like small, natural air pockets. The rest of the downside of the saddle pad is lined with soft, absorbent and natural cotton molleton, which also absorbs sweat. During training, the alpaca fleece ensures a constant balance of the horse's body temperature and transports sweat to the outside.
